From visual communication to product design,
from Osaka to Oslo

I’m a multi-disciplinary designer with 10 years of experience working on UX/UI, product design, data visualisation, and visual communication with a passion for information design and typography. Currently I live in Oslo, Norway.
Coming from Osaka, Japan, with a visual communication background, I have lived and worked in Tokyo, Reading (UK), Singapore and Oslo. I have worked in broad areas of design: from academia to a scale-up, and from graphic and data visualisation to product design. I had the chances to collaborate with developers, data scientists, marketers and design researchers.
If I choose one title which describes my skills the most, it could be information designer. I’m particularly effective at analysing complex information and presenting it in an intuitive and visually attractive way. I’ve applied these skills to projects in data visualisation, digital product design and editorial design.
Besides design, I have a passion for knitting, and surfing when I have a chance.
